My Blueberry Nights is an upcoming film directed by Wong Kar Wai. It is currently being filmed across the United States, including in Nevada and in New York City. The film is to be Wong's first English language film, and will star Norah Jones and feature Rachel Weisz, Jude Law and Natalie Portman in supporting roles. Participation of David Strathairn, Kevin Spacey and Ed Harris is also expected. The film is described as a "hip, romantic story, which explores the sensual link between love and distance," according to the Paris-based company.

The film will also mark the big screen debut of Grammy Award-winning singer Norah Jones who will portray a young waitress who travels across America to find answers to her questions about the true meaning of love. According to a release, Jones' character encounters a series of offbeat denizens played by Law and Portman. The film is a Block 2 Distributions presentation and produced by Wong Kar Wai, Jean Louis Piel, Jacky Pang and Wang Wei, and is a production of Jet Tone Films and Lou Yi Ltd.

Wong is also preparing a thriller named "Lady from Shanghai," starring Nicole Kidman, which will begin production in 2007. He is currently serving as the president of the Cannes Film Festival jury. His most recent feature, "2046," screened in competition in 2004. Other previous credits include "In the Mood for Love," "Happy Together," and "Chungking Express.".

At the recent Cannes Film Festival, where Wong served as jury president, a poster for “Blueberry” was displayed in front of Cannes' Majestic Hotel with a headshot of Jones.

“Blueberry” began shooting in New York City on June 21 and will film in various other cities across the United States, including Las Vegas.

Το ξέρατε πως όλοι μας έχουμε ενα κουμπί που γράφει delete πάνω και ανα πάσα στιγμή μπορεί να το πατήσει ο οποιοσδήποτε; Ακούγεται πρωτοποριακό ε; Το θέμα είναι πως αν κάποιος πατήσει το delete σου δεν υπάρχει επιστροφή. Συλλογή που δεν την πήρα γιατί ξεχώρισα και ήθελα κάποια συγκεκριμένα κομμάτια. Τελικά μάλλον για αυτόν τον σκοπό δημιουργήθηκε.. Δεν είναι τόσο τα κομμάτια από μόνα τους αλλά το πακέτο που φτιάχνει μια πάρα πολύ ωραία ατμόσφαιρα..
Το πρώτο δισκάκι είναι για afterhours με πιο ατμοσφαιρικά ακούσματα ενώ με το δεύτερο είσαι έτοιμος για party.. Παρ’ όλ’ αυτά κατά ένα περίεργο τρόπο όλα τα κομμάτια μου είναι γνωστά λίγο πολύ.. Τα 'χει πάρει το αυτί μου..
Η πλάκα είναι πως ένας λόγος που την αγόρασα είναι γιατί τον τελευταίο καιρό έχω το κόλλημα με την γαλλική γλώσσα.. Περίμενα και εγώ τα αισθησιακά γυναικεία φωνητικά και δε συμμαζεύεται.. Ε, όλα τα κομμάτια είναι εις την αγγλική αλλά η γαλλική ατμόσφαιρα «υποβόσκει»..
Προσωπικά την ακούω πολύ άνετα και μου φτιάχνει τη διάθεση..

*update 04/05/07: Είχα υποσχεθεί images τότε. Για να δείτε πως κρατάω τις υποσχέσεις μου! Με ταχύτητα φωτός..

Με αφορμή το Sunday το album αποκτήθηκε χθες..
Η αλήθεια είναι πως δεν με πρόδωσε! Ακόμη το ακούω με το ίδιο ενδιαφέρον που μου προκάλεσε η μία και μοναδική φορά που το άκουσα στο ραδιόφωνο τις προάλλες..
Απίστευτο! Σαν ένα χάδι στο αυτί νιώθεις το κομμάτι και τελειώνει έτσι απλά.. (εκτος αν ενεργοποιήσουμε τη χρυσή επιλογή του repeat!) Στα φωνητικά Μαρία Παπαδοπούλου..

Απο κει και πέρα, το υπόλοιπο album συνεχίζει στους ίδιους chilled ρυθμούς, με έναν ήχο τελείως φρέσκο, καλοκαιρινό και διαφορετικο, πράγμα προτωφανές για τα ελληνικά δεδομένα μέσα απο την εμπειρία μου.. Δεν ξέρω αν υπάρχει κάποιο άλλο ελληνικό album με τέτοιο ακουστική ικανότητα, ίσως χάνω στο σημείο αυτό.. Αυτό που ξέρω είναι πως εγώ έπαθα την πλάκα μου! Μέσα απο τους Μίκρο (που κεφαλή τους είναι ο Nikkon) μπορούσες να καταλάβεις πως ο άνθρωπος αυτός έχει ιδιαίτερες ικανότητες και το απέδειξε, σε μένα τουλάχιστον, στον μεγαλύτερο βαθμό που μπορούσε..
Ίσως και το καλύτερο album του καλοκαιριού!

Όσο για τη συσκευασία πρόκειται για ένα κουτί το οποίο πρέπει να το ανοίξεις εσύ, πράγμα που σε κάνει να νιώθεις πως πρόκειται να ανοίξεις ένα δώρο.. Μέσα βρίσκεις μόνο ένα μαύρο σακουλάκι απο ζελατίνα, όπως όταν ανοίγεις ένα καινούριο φιλμ.. Μέσα στη ζελατίνα βρίσκεις το δισκάκι με το booklet που περιέχει μόνο τις απαραίτητες πληροφορίες για το album.. Γ@#*;
